Technical issues meant episode 2 failed on me so here's a bunch of episode 3 caps complete with irritating BBC3 logo.

Spoilers obviously )

Start date confirmed for Spooks. Not sure about a Wednesday night but at least its on soon!

Small teaser trailer for forthcoming series Paradox: http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/comingup/paradox/

A Spooks trailer about now would be most welcome.

BBC are messing about with the start date for Series 8 of Spooks. Very annoying.

This sounds an interesting programme to watch out for: http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2009/10_october/16/paradox.shtml

Successfully completed the Great North Run on Sunday. Hooray for me! Here I am at the end, looking a heck of a lot perkier than I actually felt!

Off to Newcastle tomorrow to take part in the Great North Run on Sunday (world's biggest half marathon, in case your wondering). If anyone is glancing at the tv coverage on Sunday morning and sees someone wearing a red mini kilt with red sweaty face to match then its probably me.

Yesterday I had two wisdom teeth removed at the hospital.

Today I look like someone's punched me in the face. And I'm living on custard because I can't really eat anything.

Apart from that, life is just grand.

Finally got over doing the Moonwalk in Edinburgh last Saturday night / Sunday morning. Well I should say the Half Moon which is 13.2 miles. If anyone doesn't know what a Moonwalk is, its when loads of women (and a few men) dress up normally in lots of pink, flash their bras and do either a 13.2 mile or 26 mile walk to raise money for Breast Cancer charities. I was doing it with my Mum, and we started at 11.55pm, finishing around 4.30am Sunday morning. An amazing experience, and if anyone gets the chance you have to do it.

As a long time Trek fan I was filled with slight trepidation when I went to see this. I needn't have worried. It was amazing. Best Trek film in years. Would be interested to know the views of non Star Trek fans. I think it would appeal to anyone with a remote interest in the sci-fi genre.

Just seen Wolverine at the cinema. Plenty of action, humour, and Hugh Jackman takes his shirt off a lot. What more could a girl want ;)

Watching the BAFTAs last night. Disappointed Spooks didn't win Best Drama although I liked Wallander so I'm okay with that. But I can't believe Outnumbered didn't win Best sit-com.

Was running the Tartan 10K at Balmoral Castle yesterday. Here's a totally unflattering picture of me. I'm the one in the kilt, Comic Relief t-shirt and extremely red face grimacing at the camera. Lovely!

I'm becoming increasingly addicted to Primeval on ITV on a Saturday night. Is this normal for a 36 year old woman??

So, Jade Goody has passed away at the age of 27. Its tragic when someone loses their life at such a young age, and in such away, and leaves behind two young children, but I just don't understand the blanket coverage on tv / radio and, today, the newspapers. Its probably a sign of all that's wrong with our media obsessed country when someone with such little talent can be held up as some kind of saintly figure. So yes I'm sorry that she's passed away, but that's it. It's nothing I feel compared to the sadness when, for example, a soldier has been killed in action abroad. So please can we get back to the real world if possible.

I thought long and hard about posting something on this topic. If I've upset anyone then I apologise but I just had to get this off my chest.

Anyone here use a notebook or netbook? I'm thinking of downsizing to one of these from a desktop pc, considering I barely use my machine for anything except internet access and the odd music download. Quite fancy a netbook but I'm a bit worried about the speed factor (not concerned with the small hard drive).

Anyone got any good advice or had any good / bad experiences?
